Promoting inclusive Community Based Disaster Preparedness in the Recovery and Reconstruction of earthquake affected areas of Nepal

Introduction
Rural Development Tuki Association RDTA is implementing the DRR-ECHO project in Kabre, Namdu, Marbu and Chankhu VDC of Dolakha district from August 2016 with funded support of Save the Children. The Direct Beneficiaries of project are economically poor and socially marginalized groups especially dalit, women, minority ethnic groups such as sunwar, tamang and people with disabilities. Similarly, The principal objective of project is to strengthen the resilience of communities and institutions in Nepal to the impacts of disasters and specific objectives are to strengthen community and institutional capacity on disaster risk management through the implementation of inclusive and flexible CBDRM, improved coordination, information management and policy advocacy. This project has focus on disaster risk reduction /disaster preparedness, community and local level action, hazard, risk analysis and early warning contingency planning and preparedness for response, institutional linkages, advocacy and capacity building (DRR /DP).

Goal
